Dear St. George’s,
The legal action undertaken against us by the Diocese of Niagara has been resolved. We have reached a negotiated settlement resulting in our former diocese taking control of our building at 7051 Guelph Line.
As part of the settlement we will receive a small amount of money from our former diocese. It will be deposited to the building fund as it is received. This money is a combination of agreed upon partial repayment of shared capital expenses related to the 7051 property over the past 4 years and our parish’s portion of the money recovered from the Diocese of Niagara.
Take a moment today to thank the Lord that we were counted worthy to suffer for the name of Jesus (Acts 5:41). Pray for the leaders of the Diocese of Niagara, examining your own heart, giving no place to bitterness. Look forward to the new day of ministry into which the Lord has called us.
