New Song: “Be the Fire”

Sometimes new songs come out of you quick, as if written by someone else.

“Be the Fire” was one of these. I wrote it last week after watching the movie Brave. I’ve always liked celtic music, (perhaps it’s the Irish/Scottish in me), but also because there is something beautifully haunting in the melodies and earthiness of its sound. The gorgeous celtic hymns like Be Thou My Vision and I Feel the Winds of God Today are, in my opinion, among the greatest hymn melodies ever written. After watching Brave, which takes place in the Scottish highlands, I was again inspired and I set my hand at writing a celtic ballad of my own.

“Be the Fire” is a celtic style hymn/prayer to the God of Grace. I hope you enjoy it.

  2. Bryan, that song is a gift to us. Thank you for sharing it. I hope you can record it someday so that the larger body of Christ can be blessed by it.
