The Vicar of Baghdad is coming.
With a $57million bounty placed on his head by ISIS, Canon Andrew White has recently been forced to flee Baghdad where his church and relief organization is based. He has been serving on the front lines in the turmoil in Iraq and has been there as his people have been slaughtered, enslaved and forced to flee simply because they are Christians. He has been kidnapped and beaten and had staff members murdered because of their work and faith and he has worked tirelessly as a ransom and peace negotiator all around the Middle East.
He has been interviewed by most of the major news outlets in the world and this Sunday at 6pm our own Ray David will get a chance. It should be a fascinating and moving event as Canon White will also baptize his grandson.
All are welcome. It is a rare opportunity to hear from and support this man and the people of Iraq whom he serves.
