Global 6K for Water

Global 6K for Water

This Spring, Change a Life

6 kilometers is the average distance that people in the developing world walk for water — water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, people from around the globe will walk or run an average distance for an extraordinary cause.

Each participant’s registration of $50 goes to World Vision’s Water Initiatives. After you register, you will receive a World Vision Global 6K for Water t-shirt, race bib, and medal in the mail. Walk or run with your friends and family on Saturday, May 6th, 2017, and post your photos on social media with the hashtag #6KforWater!

St. George’s Team

St. George’s is hosting World Vision’s Global 6k for Water on Saturday May 6th, 10am. Join us and advocates across the globe in our mission to bring clean water and fullness of life to children in communities around the world. Walk, run, or push a stroller with us around the perimeter of Alton Village starting and ending at St. George’s Church (see map below). Each registration provides lasting clean water to a child and on race day, you walk/run with that child’s picture on your race bib. If you aren’t able to participate in the race, you can still participate financially.
