“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.” – 2 Peter 3:18.
A growth group is a gathering of 5-15 people who meet regularly in a home to study the Bible, pray together and build Christ-centred friendships. No matter where you are in life, it is vital to be a part of Christian community. If you are new to St. George’s, becoming part of a Growth Group is also a good way to become connected to your new church. Your group becomes your “family” within your church extended family, the people you can go to in time of need, and who will likewise turn to you when they need support.
What does a Growth Group meeting look like?
Growth Group meetings usually last around two hours and have three components:
- Sharing friendship and fellowship over refreshments.
- Bible Study, where we will explore and discuss the bible passage from the previous Sunday at St. George’s and apply it to our lives.
- Prayer for one another.
Below are the biweekly groups that are currently meeting regularly. The locations shown below are not hard and fast, but just info as you decide where to join. We do not allocate people into groups but leave it to your discretion and prayer.

Our prayer is that through these growth groups we would grow more and more in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ and would build deep Christ-centred community around the gospel. If you are a part of St. George’s, prayerfully consider how God might have you participate in one of these groups!
