Solid Hope in a Shaky World

A Sermon Series on The First Letter of John
July-August 2013

To live in the 21st century is to live in a shaky world. Whatever seems sure and certain today—technology, the economy, politics, your ability to earn a living, social values—are tomorrow completely different. The only thing certain would seem to be uncertainty.

In reality, however, this isn’t a 21st-century problem—it’s a universal problem. Whether it’s the 1st century or the 21st, the world is always an uncertain place. The First Letter of John continues to speak to the church of its sure foundation in the love and promise of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Explore with us this reassuring letter of confidence in the universal truth of the Gospel, which shines as a light of hope into a dark world.
