OUR TEAM

“Gospel-Centered Leaders love the Gospel. They love to talk about it, sing about it, and tell it to others. The death and resurrection of Jesus, and their union with Him moves their heart like nothing else. They never tire of hearing the Gospel or preaching it to themselves.”

The Rev. Canon R.D. Glenn

Rector

After a career as a business analyst for a publicly traded corporation, R.D. was ordained in the Anglican Diocese of Niagara. He pastors St. George’s Church in Burlington, Ontario, a congregation he has served for 20 years. St. George’s was the third congregation to leave the Anglican Church of Canada and join the still forming Anglican Network in Canada. He was a founding director of ANiC and was made Canon in 2017. R.D. is convinced that in Anglicanism we have been given a globally and historically trustworthy way of being Christian in the modern world. His ministry is marked by a passion to see the gospel preached, in word and sacrament, in a language understood in our culture. R.D. serves as Chairman of The Gospel Coalition Canada and Vice Principal of Ryle Seminary. He is married to Monica. They are empty-nesters with two grown children, Matthew and Kennedy.

Bryan Hunt

PASTOR OF WORSHIP + MEDIA

Bryan is our Pastor of Worship and Media. He has a passion for leading people to see the glory and beauty of Jesus and helping them grow deeper in Christ. Being a trained graphic designer, he also endeavours to use the realm of multimedia to help connect people with people, and people with God. Having served at St. George’s for over 15 years, he has developed a deep love for God’s Church and a passion for equipping its people to treasure and proclaim the Gospel. He, his wife, and 4 kids live in the farmlands of West Lincoln, along with their sheepdog, Angus.

Dan Taylor

PASTOR of Family Ministries

Dan is our Pastor of Family Ministries at our church. His passion for community and reaching the lost are the result of his many years of volunteer leadership in non-profit and church settings. Dan came to be the only Christian in his family when he was 17 years old through a local youth ministry and now it’s his turn to be used by God to give the youth of our community an opportunity to create and grow an authentic relationship with Jesus. Dan and his wife Victoria are currently living in Burlington and love heading out on spontaneous adventures around Ontario, and cooking/learning new foods together. Dan believes that every youth should have the chance to hear about Jesus, wrestle with what it all means, and be able to experience a safe community to talk about the challenges of being a youth today. He loves playing ultimate frisbee, playing/writing music, and witty “dad-like” humour.

Shauna-Lee Dwight

Administrative Assistant

Shauna-Lee is the administrative assistant at the church. As a former teacher and medical librarian, she feels blessed to have the opportunity to use her skills from past careers to serve the people of St. Georges. She finds joy in helping the ministries and business of the church run smoothly. She lives in Burlington with her husband and young son. She loves spending time in nature with her boys biking and hiking. An introvert at heart, she seeks solace in her yard where she enjoys gardening and tending the occasional raging brush fire.

Jonathan Burns

Director of church operations

Jonathan is our part-time Director of Church Operations. He believes that the local church is God's instrument for sharing the Gospel, advancing the Kingdom of God in the world. Jonathan loves meeting newcomers to St. George’s and helping them get connected. With a passion for equipping volunteers, Jonathan builds teams and creates efficient systems that enable ministries to flourish. Jonathan spends the other four days of the week running a business. Jonathan and his wife, Christy, live in Burlington and have three sons. When he’s off the clock, you’ll find him cooking, talking with his boys, wood-working, or planning the next trip with Christy.

Lydia Sabine

Kids' Ministry Co-ordinator

Lydia grew up in the Middle East and is a graduate of Heritage College. She is currently studying at Redeemer University. Saved at a young age, Lydia developed a deep desire to help children see the beauty of the gospel for themselves. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, nature journaling, and cooking Middle Eastern food.

Joel Pasma

Artizo Apprentice

By the Lord’s blessing, I was raised in a Christian home, though I wandered from God for a time. During high school, the Gospel became clear to me, and my passion for the Christian faith grew. In 2021, a mentor and close friend encouraged my interest in Christ, and the seed for ministry was planted.
After College, I began attending St. George’s Anglican in Burlington, where I found that the theology of the Book of Common Prayer aligned closely with my convictions. I fell in feet-first. The pastoral leadership recognized a deeper calling to ministry, encouraged me to attend Bible College, and gave me opportunities to serve.
As I continue my studies, the Artizo program seems a natural pathway for me as my role at St. George’s grows. Its hands-on and relational structure will help me grow in ministry, build meaningful friendships, and receive the accountability needed to serve faithfully in God’s Church.

Thomas Van Berkum

Artizo Apprentice

I was saved by the Lord and filled with the Holy Spirit on November 4th, 2022. Having identified as an atheist and later an agnostic, I began that day with a thought experiment, telling myself I would “pretend to believe in God.” Over the next twenty-four hours, I experienced a deep sense of peace and clarity. Later that day, I came across an online testimony where I read the words, “Jesus loves you,” and felt a supernatural joy and fulfillment in my heart. It was then that I knew I had found the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
The following year, through a mutual connection, I was brought to St. George’s Anglican Church in Burlington. I see my arrival there as God’s providence, and St. George’s has been my home church ever since. Through clear and faithful preaching, evangelism, growth groups, and serving as a communion administrator, I have grown deeply in my faith.
I currently study Theology at Redeemer University and look forward to being equipped through Artizo to serve faithfully as a Spirit-led Gospel minister.

Marcus Hookong

Apologetics Canada Apprentice

Currently residing in Mississauga, Marcus has a deep passion for theology, tradition, and church history, which has drawn him into the Anglican way and the community here at St. George's. Growing up in church but never having truly taken a relationship with the Lord Jesus seriously, God saved him from having an empty religion to true religion in Christ. Marcus has a deep hunger for evangelism, discipleship, and helping the future generations of youth. He's currently an apprentice with Apologetics Canada while studying business at the University of Toronto. Under the mentorship of the pastors here at St. George's, he seeks to discern Christ's calling on his life, and to be trained and formed in the truth of the Gospel. Please pray for Marcus as he serves as an intern and strives to follow the will of his Father in Heaven.
