Christmas Giving Projects

Find out more below about the Christmas giving projects we are partnering with in 2026.

Boxes of Hope
This November, our Life Team is again inviting us to participate in Halton Alive’s Boxes of Hope initiative. As a church, we’ll be creating gift boxes for seniors living in a local long-term care home, who have been identified as vulnerable. These are elderly people who don’t get visitors and experience loneliness and isolation. We will deliver the gift boxes in person on Saturday Dec 19 at 2pm, and take time to visit with these individuals to bring them some hope and encouragement. Contact Jeremy Thommy if you’d like to be involved with this team.

Please consider making a box using the Halton Alive guidelines. For more details, speak with Elea Hofman. The boxes should be delivered to the church by December 13th.

Contact Elea Hofman for more details.

The Purse Project
During the month of November, St. George’s will have a donation box for The Purse Project, in the Fellowship Hall. We are encouraging families to buy a new purse (or a gently used one) and fill it with the items listed here. These purses will be handed to women in need in the local community this Christmas Season.
