What is the Gospel?

First of all, the gospel is good news - the good news of what God has done in Jesus Christ. The Bible depicts people, all people, as in rebellion against God, and therefore under his judgment. But while God stands in judgment over us because of our sin, amazingly he also stands over us in love, because of his incredible grace. The gospel is the good news of what God, in love, has done in Jesus Christ, through Jesus’s cross and resurrection, to deal with our sin and to reconcile us to himself.

The Resurrection of the Dead

By R.D. Glenn

What will you do with the resurrection of Jesus? Your whole world rises and falls on this question. You can’t take a passive approach to the resurrection, because if Christ has been raised from the dead, then this means you have a Lord and Master. If he was raised, then you will be raised, if you bow your knee before him.
