Prayer For Neil Denison

Prayer request for our Church Warden, Neil Denison and for his wife, Donna, and son, Philip, while Neil is away.

I am on my way for three weeks to Tanzania to work on a computer network for Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA). Their office in Dar es Salaam supports approximately 100 staff who work jointly with the national Ministry of Health to deliver health care programs that benefit the poor in various areas across the country.

These programs have the added benefit of helping local manufacturers and resellers who provide the various inputs to the programs ? items like soap, insecticide treated mosquito nets and the like. Due to some mis-wiring and a power surge in January their network is in crisis. My job there is to not only repair the damage, but to add capacity and robustness to allow the operations there to function at a much higher level of capacity and safety. Computers and their associated equipment are the platforms upon which many humanitarian activities stand. This work is what the Lord has trained me for and I am honoured to be asked to use my skills in this way. Each person, whatever their station, is created in the image of God; as such it is also an honour to serve the Lord in this way through this program. Thank you for praying for me while I am away. Specifically I need prayer for good health, and the development of strong relationships with the team there. Also for the removal of anything that would prevent this work from happening to the glory of God. Bless you all! I will be praying for you while I am away.

Neil
