Pentecost Prayer Vigil

Pentecost Prayer VigilThank you to all who participated in the Pentecost Prayer Vigil, May 21-23 – a 38-hour continuous prayer vigil that took place at the fountain chapel in Crossroads. It was a time of profound prayer and deep communion with our Father. Many people have reported to me the deep sense of the Lord’s presence throughout the weekend in the fountain chapel. When entering the room, there was a real awareness of joining into the stream of the prayers of the saints.

All of the names of our loved ones were bathed in prayer and I believe God will hear our cries, honour our commitment to prayer and answer from heaven. Let’s stay expectant that God is going to do a mighty work among us and be ready to answer the call of the Holy Spirit. This is a beginning not the end. I believe that God is calling us to be a people of prayer – a people who look to Him first. Let’s continue to lift up these dear loved ones in prayer and ask God to ‘awake the sleepers’ and pour out his Spirit on our land. To those who couldn’t participate in the weekend, but would have liked to, we are planning on holding more prayer vigil’s in the coming year.

Pentecost Prayer Vigil

These are two scriptures that really spoke to me during the weekend –

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Eph 5:14

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chron 7:14

I have uploaded pictures of the prayers, scriptures, and visions written on the walls during the weekend to the community photos section of this website. It is amazing to see what the Lord was speaking through us and to us. To see more of the pictures click here.
