5 Worship Songs For Your Weekend

“Your Love is Enough” – Jon Foreman

A few weeks ago, Scott Hunt shared his thoughts on doing “enough” and being “enough”. This song reminds us that God’s love is the only “enough” that we will encounter.

“Be Still” – The Fray

Written as a comforting lullaby for the singer’s anxious brother, this song reminds me that God is always with us.

Psalm 46:10 says “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

“Made New” – Lincoln Brewster

If Christian spin classes exist, I expect this song is played on repeat. It reminds me that God sustains me and is the foundation of my identity through life’s trials. Also, it gets extra points for the guitar solo.

“Farther Along” – Josh Garrels

When the hymn this song is based on was written, the author was struggling to understand why life doesn’t seem to make sense sometimes. That struggle is often at the forefront for me as a Christian as I try to trust that farther along we’ll understand why.

“Us for Them” – Gungor

It is tempting to get caught into an “Us vs Them” mentality as we try to understand the world as Christians. This song is calling us to look at what is modeled on the Cross to call us to a “Us for Them” mentality.
