This world can only offer us dead, lifeless hope, but Christ offers us living hope, because he offers us himself, raised from the dead. Our lives are sustained by the power of the living Christ.

God’s word is like a mirror and in it you see who you truly are. No matter how hard you try, you are a sinner, but God’s son died to make you a saint.
When tempted in the wilderness, Jesus not only quoted the word of God, he obeyed it. Where Adam fell, Jesus stood strong. Where Israel failed, Jesus conquered. Though we fall short, Jesus has hit the mark in our place, for He lived by every word from the mouth of God.
